Within the Harvest Scheduler Main View, picks can be planned and updated against each allocation and day.
To add a new pick against an allocation and day, there are multiple methods depending on where in teh schedule you are working.
Within the Liquid Zone (6 days into the future and onwards), the cursor can simply be placed in the cell against the required allocation and date, and a pick qty can be entered. Then hit 'Enter'.
Within the Slush Zone (next 5 days), double click on the day. Pick data is then entered.
The block, grower, EUR, and pick date will default. The Pick Quantity is required to be added. At this stage this is an estimate. (Note that picks can be created in this way in the Liquid Zone also).
As planning horizons move in and loads need to be planned against picks, this can be done within the same planning modal.
To add loads to a pick, double click on the pick within the schedule.
The pick modal is then displayed and there are 2 ways to add loads to the pick.
The 'Add Load' button - adds one load against the pick which can then have further detail added to it.
The 'Add x Loads' button - this will add a set number of loads to the pick based on the Pick Quantity and the standard load setting within the instance. The calculation is Pick Quantity / Standard Load size and then rounded up.
The Pick Modal will keep track of quantity scheduled on loads vs the total pick quantity and will also highlight if the pick quantity is greater than the estimated quantity against the block.
To add a single load against the pick, select 'Add Load'. A load will then be added with a quantity of the default load size.
Enter additional information against the load. Options for Bin Type, Receiving Areas, Presses and Pick Methods can all be managed via Master Data. See Harvest Scheduler Master Data.
Once details for the load have been added, and no further loads are to be added at this time, select 'Save'. (Alternatively additional loads can be added in the same way). Note that as soon as 1 load is added, the ability to add multiple loads at once to cover the whole pick is no longer available.
The pick in the main view will then be updated to show the quantity now on loads rather than the total pick quantity.
To add enough loads to pick up the total planned pick quantity, select the 'Add x Loads' button.
A single load line will now be displayed and any information that is the same across all loads can be added at this point.
Then select the 'Create x Loads' button to create the remaining loads.
Each load can then be treated separately and updated as needed.
Select 'Save' to save the loads against the pick.
There are additional features available to further assist with creating and managing loads.
A load can be duplicated by selecting the 'Copy' button in the Actions column.
A load can be deleted by selecting the checkbox beside it and then selecting the 'Remove Selected Loads' button.
The status of multiple loads can be changed at once by selecting the checkbox next to all required loads and then selecting the 'Change All Loads Status' drop down
Load information can be edited by opening the picks and updating as needed.
Pick and Load states can be used as per business processes to indicate the planning stage for the pick or load.
