Tasting Notes Detail

A Tasting Notes Detail page provides details about the blend id (aka “lot”) in a vessel or tank. There is the initial lab results at the time of crush along with the ongoing lab results and cellar actions. This is the page that is used during the actual daily tastings through fermentation.

In this area you’ll find the:

  • Navigating the working list (the list of vessel/lots that were filtered from the Tasting Notes page).

  • Lot code

  • Site

  • Tank (vessel)

  • Drain/Press chart

    • A way to review the currently scheduled drain/presses.

  • Options

    • Editing the Vessel/Lot initial results section

    • Edit the tasting note view

    • Export data

    • Archive the Vessel/Lot

    • Delete Vessel/Lot

Initial Results / Drain and Press Schedule Section

  • Initial results

    • These are the results at the point of crush. These data points are important as they are inputs into the addition calculations.

      • Note: as you taste and get new lab results, you can update some these “initial” values from a specific’s days lab results. Moreover, these are all editable right in the input fields.

  • Drain and Press Schedule

    • This is where you schedule the drain and press action.

  • Tip: to provide more vertical space to show more of the table row data (helpful as more lab results come in during harvest, you can click on the “Hide Vessel Lot Info” to collapse this section.

Data / Chart Section

There are two tabs. One is for the tabular data which contains the lab results, grading, EUR updates and the cellar actions. The Other tab is for the charts. This is where brix and temp are plotted along with any other lab data that you choose to chart.
